Participants' Guide

 

1. Important Notice

  1. Temporary road closure will be implemented along the route from 7:00am to 11:00am on the event day. Vehicular access will not be allowed heading to or leaving from the Start/Finish Point during the period of road closure (except authorized vehicles). All vehicles should park at the venue until the re-opening of the road at around 11:00am. 

  2. To ensure the charity run progress smoothly plus to resume Tai Au Mun Road back to normal traffic at 1000, the Organizer will designate cut-off times at specified locations. Runners failing to reach these specific locations within times specified must retire and leave the race route and board the official bus when requested by Route Officials and/or Marshals. The official bus will take these runners back to the Finish Point. 

  3. Participants are advised to undertake adequate training before the Event. 

  4. Participants are advised to consult medical advice from doctors if they are in doubt of their health condition prior to taking part in the Event. 

  5. No pets are allowed, except those authorized by the Organizer. 

   

2. Registration, Race Bib, Baggage Deposit, Timing Chip 

1 For Runners:

  • Registration Counter will be open from 0730 to 0815. Please pick up your Race Bib at the Registration Counter on race day. All race bibs are non-transferable. 

  • Timing chip is placed on the back of the race bib, please do not bend/fold it or you may damage the device. 

  • Participants must step on all timing mats along the race course to record the race times. The Organizer shall reserve the right to disqualify the participant if no timing has been recorded. 

  • Service hour of Baggage Deposit Counter is 0730 - 0830 and 1000 - 1100. 

2 For Walkers:

  • NO race bib will be issued for Walkers. Please assemble at the Walkers’ Waiting Zone. 

 

3. Terms & Conditions 

  1. Participants must study the Participants’ Guide carefully. Upon submitting an entry, a participant is deemed to have accepted all arrangements, and the Terms and Conditions of the Event. 

  2. All information provided by a participant in the enrollment form must be true and accurate. Upon  confirmation of registration, donations will not be refunded. 

  3. The Organizer reserves the right to contact the participants by phone or other means for any further information relating to this Event. The Organizer reserves the right to restrict and refuse entries without reason. 

  4. Participants must ensure their physical conditions are suitable for participating in the Event. Any participant who is pregnant or suffering from any chronic disease such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not participate in the Event. The Organizer reserves the right to reject any participant who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the Event. 

  5. Participation in the Event is voluntary and at the own risk of participants. Each participant agrees to absolve the Organizer, Co-organizer, Event Producer and Management, any sponsors and/or supporting organizations from any and all claims or liabilities of any kind arising from bodily injuries, accidents, death or other losses during or caused by travelling to and from the Event venue, during in the Event or whatsoever reason. 

  6. The Organizer reserves the right to close the entry before enrollment deadline without prior notification when the quota is full. 

  7. The Organizer and Media shall have the absolute discretion to use any photograph, video or any other record of the Event for any lawful purposes including advertising and promotion of the Event. 

  8. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event for the situations such as adverse weather conditions and force majeure. Force majeure event shall include but is not limited to strikes, riot, commotion or threats of terrorism etc. Should the Event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer, all donations will not be refunded and the Event will not be rescheduled. 

  9. All participants must follow the instruction of the Route Officials and/or Marshals en route. 

  10. The Organizer reserves the right to amend and interpret the terms and conditions. In the Event of any disputes, the Organizer reserves the right of the final decision.
